TOPIC: The Power of Information (Part 4) – Mental Information.

Mental information is the class of information that deals with the science of how things are done physically and socially to ensure a better society. This class of information is very important because it is what gives the spirit realm a face in the material world. Many Christians down play mental dimension of information thinking it is important and they end up almost a misfit in today’s society. No matter the spiritual information at your disposal, you cannot become a bank manager until you acquire the relevant mental information in banking and financial matters generally. You may have a revelation of a business breakthrough and may even have used your spiritual knowledge to take hold of it by faith. But if you don’t acquire the information on business intelligence and operations, which are in the mental class of information, your revelation remains mere fantasies. Look at Joseph in Gen. 41:25-41, it was by spiritual information dimension he interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, but it was by mental information dimension that he gave a strategic advice to pharaoh concerning how to prepare their economy against the coming famine. It was not the interpretation of the dream that made him Prime Minister (which was his destiny all the time) but his economic dexterity which is in the domain of mental information. Pharaoh didn’t make him a Prime Minister to interpret dreams for him, but to manage the economy of the nation, and it was his mental information dimension that made that possible. Daniel is another example of a highly spiritually informed man, yet with a mental prowess that he remained relevant in 3 different governments.
Spectrum of Mental Information
This has to do with academic knowledge, technical knowledge and every knowledge that governs the society economically, socially and industrially. Young man, go to school and educate your mind so your spirituality can carry value before men. If two people have a calling to ministry and one of them is educated mentally, that mental education will be an added advantage to him. Mental information is what gives vent to spiritual information in Today’s society. This is where many non-christians beat Christians in life’s race. You have an anointing to be a great doctor, but if you don’t have medical knowledge, your anointing will be frustrated. Even men with healing anointing are educating themselves in some medical information because it helps them know how to apply that anointing sometimes. Medical information is very vital to our success on earth, therefore let’s go for it.
Secular Schools
The primary place for acquiring mental information is the secular schools. They are universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, specialized training institutions etc. Get yourself into these as it fits your aspiration so as to educate your mind to be relevant in your society.
As a manager in an office, without your mental soundness in that profession, your speaking in tongues during office hours will be an embarrassment to humanity. Your mental soundness will make men respect your spiritually. So go to a school and educate your mind and your value will increase.
Physical Information
The third class of information is the physical information. This deals primarily with information about your body and how it works. Many folks destroy their bodies inspite of great spiritual and mental information that they posses because they lack information about physical things. Listen! Your body is your vehicle on the earth and you better know about the peculiarity of the human body and your own body especially. No matter your spirituality, mental prowess, they are things and practices that can and will destroy your physical body if you don’t have physical information. Have information about your body so you can know on how to manage it properly. Go for checkup regularly, know your blood group, genotype, know what to eat per time and drink per time. All these are within the domain of physical information. If you think they aren’t important you are being deceived. There are body therapists, engage their services if need be so you can have a firm grasp of your body operations. There are some people that don’t even know how to balance their body diets and as simple as it seems, it can affect the effectiveness of your body. Have information about your body and basic health issues and practices, it will help you balance your life.
Secondly, you must understand basic things about your environment and facilities. Those gadgets you bought, do you know how to operate them? You think it is not important? Maybe that’s why things don’t last long in your hand because you misuse them due to lack of physical information.
Thirdly, have information about the affairs of your society. Do you have a copy of the constitution of your country? Do you know the agencies that operate where you live? You may need their services one day. If you don’t have information on these things, you will be cheated without knowing it. Whatever you are doing for a living, do you know the government policies governing them? Apostle Paul, when he was released from jail to go home, he told the officers he was a Roman citizen and they knew the legal implication of that. You see that he had physical information of the laws of the land even though he was a highly spiritual man (Acts 16:37-40). Child of God, go for physical information about yourself and your environment so your drive in life will be complete.
In a nutshell, these 3 spectra of information; spiritual, mental and physical, will make you a balanced person as far as being informed in life is concerned.

- Mental information gives expression to spiritual information.
- Secular schools are designed to supply mental information to man.
- Your information system is not complete until your knowledge of physical things is in place.
- Know your society and how it functions so you will not be a misfit among men.
